We are seeking a talented and motived Mechanical Engineer interested in a career in Boise, Idaho. Are you interested in gaining career experience providing multi-disciplinary design solutions over a wide range of engineering projects?
With QRS, you would have the opportunity to be a contributing member of in-house multi-disciplinary design teams to provide design solutions for water resources, fisheries, and hydro design related projects. Typical projects include fisheries (passage, hatcheries, screening), gates and lifting systems, and, inlet valves, cranes and hoists, and other general mechanical design components.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have the Following Skills:
Mechanical Engineering: More than 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering design with the ability to perform tasks on multi-discipline projects throughout the full project cycle. Experience with common industry practices and the QA/QC process. Experience as a Consultant working with state and federal agencies, utilities, and private owners is preferred. Active involvement in Professional Organizations is also preferred.
Marketing Experience: Ability to develop client rapport and long-term client relationships.
Personal Attributes: Strong communication and leadership skills; enjoys coordinating with clients, stakeholders, agencies, and members of multi-disciplinary design teams; high ethical standards; motivated to provide technical solutions to clients; appreciation for team collaboration; conscientious of how your work affects members of a design team, the client, and the general public; self-driven; thrives on the challenges of a tough project; internal drive to learn and understand technological innovation and develop unique project solutions.
Responsibilities May Include Some or All of the Following:

Performance in multi-disciplinary design teams.

Mechanical engineering analysis, including modeling and calculations.

Production of alternatives analyses, construction drawings, specifications, and construction cost estimates.

Site visits and project inspections, including occasional overnight travel.

Provide designer support services during construction activities.

Other engineering related tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Fundamentals of Engineering Certification or Professional Engineering (PE) license, or ability to become licensed within 6 months, in Idaho, Oregon, and Washington.

Excellent oral and written communication in the English language.

Occasional travel may be required.

Compensation $90,000 - $120,000 DOE with additional bonus and profit-sharing opportunities.
